You may travel by plane to Skiathos island and afterwards to Skopelos island by boat (30’ distance). Alternatively, there are ferry connections to Skopelos from Volos and Evia (the duration of your journey varies depending on the ferry connection. Average journey time 3h). There is a Public Health Center in Skopelos Town (Chora) operating 24/7 all year round. There is also a private clinic and several private doctor offices. For more information, visit our Stay Safe – Health First page.
You may use the public transportation (though being limited during winter) or take a taxi (you may check for more information as far as timetables and prices are concerned here.) You also have the option to rent a car, motorbike, scooter or quad – buggy.
Even though being limited during heavy winter, there are local bakeries, cafe-bars etc. remaining open all year round. Also, there is a big super-market just 300 meters away from Rigas Hotel Skopelos, providing portions of cooked food.

We would gladly welcome and host your friend or relative in your Studio room, at a privileged rate. For more than one persons, an extra room may be booked (upon availability).
Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or indoor areas. Smoking is allowed only outdoors. Dogs up to 10kg are welcome (See more about our Pet Policy)
Both cash and cards are accepted. You may make exchange currency in Skopelos Town. Of course, there are a few ATMs in Chora of Skopelos (for more information, click here).
There are plenty of activities one may get involved in on the island, including: hiking, swimming, cycling (bicycle rentals available only during summer season), island hopping, “mamma mia” sight-seeing, religious trip (monasteries, chapels, churches). Furthermore, there is a private gym and a football field. Also, the Cultural Association of Skopelos provides a few activities, such as traditional dance or musical instrument lessons, hagiography, etc. Tip: if you are a lover of drawing, photography or writing, then Skopelos island, with its enchanting natural landscapes and its architecture, is the ideal place to plunge into, be inspired and unfold your talent!
